Mater recently hosted a GP Education Women’s Health Conference at Sea World on the Gold Coast from 4 -5 November with over twenty leading Mater specialists presenting.
Delegates enjoyed a range of sessions including a Women’s Health panel featuring Gynaecologists and Obstetricians Dr Amy Mellor, Dr Kellie Tathem and Dr Will Milford, an Orthopaedic session by Dr Nicola Ward focussing on fragility injuries and prevention, the latest findings in iron-deficiency anaemia by Gastroenterologist Dr Jake Begun, as well as interactive small group sessions with topics ranging from breast cancer to maternal fetal medicine to paediatric neurology.
Those staying for the weekend were also treated to a unique dinner and show experience at Sea World’s Dolphin Cove.
