Mater Health welcomes Paula Foley

Mater Health has an exciting transformation agenda planned for the next five years for our private and public health services across Queensland.

To provide a dedicated focus on the continued delivery and development of these successful services, Mater is reshaping its South East Queensland leadership team.

Following the recent State Government announcement of its major investment in publicly-funded services at Mater Private Hospital Springfield, Paula Foley has been appointed to the new role of Chief Operating Officer Public Hospitals for Mater Health.

This new role will report to the Acting Regional Executive Director Mater Health SEQ and will be responsible for the leadership and management of Mater Hospital Brisbane, as well as acting as the lead coordinator and advisor within Mater Health on key public service projects and planning across Mater Queensland.

As an accomplished health professional, Paula has 27 years of clinical experience and extensive knowledge and expertise in health service planning, innovation, improvement and engagement.

Paula joins Mater from Metro South Hospital and Health Service, where she has been Director Metro South Clinical Improvement Unit and Deputy Surgical Stream Leader.

During her time at Metro South, Paula has been responsible for the establishment of a range of clinical redesign initiatives and will bring valuable skills to the Mater Health leadership team.
