This Breast Cancer Awareness Month Mater is sharing with you, our GP partners, the latest breast cancer information to assist you in providing the best care for your patients.
Examinations/investigations should include a triple test of three diagnostic components:
A positive result on any component of the triple test warrants referral for specialist surgical assessment and/or further investigation irrespective of any other normal test results.
All patients who present with a lump should undergo a clinical breast examination prior to referral.
