As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering exemplar healthcare services across our new state-wide network, Mater is realigning our services to support a centralised model that will carry this vision into the future.
These changes have been part of an ongoing structural evolution to ensure we are in a strong position with a strong framework that both guide and shape our future.
We are now pleased to announce that we have established the Directors of Clinical Services (DCS) roles which will become effective from 1 June 2020 to provide local service-led leadership whilst supporting our state-wide healthcare network.
The new Directors of Clinical Services at SEQ are outlined below and will report through to Acting Regional Executive Director SEQ Michelle Somlyay;
In addition, Jennifer Pitt’s will now be the Director of Patient Flow, Health Projects and the Central Nursing Office, an evolution of her current role. As part of this new role, Jen will be the clinical representative of all the major strategic digital health improvement projects in conjunction with the professional working committees.
These changes have been embraced by senior nursing leadership, as an endorsement of Mater's commitment to success, and the important strategic direction for Mater Health.
