He was also Theme Lead, Vascular Disorders at NIHR Biomedical Research Unit for Dementia, and previously held the roles of Clinician Scientist Fellow at Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre and Honorary Consultant Neurologist at Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. Professor O’Sullivan has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed research publications in both clinical fields and fundamental neuroscience. His current research projects focus on stroke recovery, dementia and the interface with Alzheimer’s disease.
