Boston-based Center for Medical Simulation training to return to Mater in 2023

Mater Education is delighted to partner once again with the world-leading Boston-based Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) to host simulation training sessions for Australian doctors in May 2023 at Mater South Brisbane.

Simulated learning helps achieve safe, more effective and efficient healthcare for patients. It is experiential learning at its best with no risk to patients.

Running 16-19 May 2023, the CMS Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design & Debriefing course is designed to enhance skills in solving everyday challenges and problems faced in high-stakes clinical environments. Facilitated by internationally renowned Harvard Medical School faculty member and Organisation Behaviour Scholar Dr Jenny Rudolph and instructors from CMS, the course is suitable for general practitioners and those with an interest in critical care, emergency medicine, obstetric, and neonatology specialists.

An Advanced Instructor Course will also be held (23 – 26 May 2023) and builds on instructional techniques learnt in CMS Healthcare Simulation Essentials.

Mater Education is Australia’s only affiliate of the highly regarded CMS and is excited to jointly host a world class program to enhance simulation skills for clinicians and healthcare outcomes for patients.
