Improving referral processes and access to clinical information

Mater has been working with our GP partners on a series of initiatives and enhancements to improve efficiency and provide seamless access to clinical information relating to the patient journey - from referral through to discharge.

You will now be able to find information, updates and contacts for these projects in a new "E-Health" section located on the home page at materonline.org.au, Mater's website for the medical community.

These projects include:

  • E-Referrals - secure electronic messaging for referrals coming soon
  • Outpatient letters - register to receive secure digital outpatient letters direct to your clinical software
  • Mater Doctor Portal - we are improving clinician access and simplifying the process for setting up a new account
  • Discharge Summaries - we are designing a new discharge summary which will allow us to align with National Guidelines
