New features and enhancements available in Verdi

Monday 24 April 2017

Verdi has released the following new features and enhancements to improve user functionality.

Queensland Health ‘The Viewer’ – New Feature

The Viewer is a Queensland Health read-only web-based application that displays consolidated clinical and administrative information sourced from a number of existing Queensland Health Enterprise systems.

A new link within Verdi is available allowing users direct access to The Viewer for the current open Verdi patient. You will find the link under the ‘External Portals / QH Viewer’ folders. You will need to close any open Verdi sessions to see the new folders.

Please familiarise yourself with the new functionality by reviewing the Verdi External Portals user guide.  For detailed information on how to navigate The Viewer you can access the Handy Hints guide. Release Notes for this functionality are available here.

Internal Referral forms to Specialists Clinics – New Feature

This functionality was released late last year and allows users to complete an online form to refer patients to internal specialists clinics. Patient information within these forms is already prepopulated  and there are links within the form taking you directly to Mater Referral Guidelines. This form is also able to prompt the referring clinician of any considerations associated with the speciality they are referring to. If you would to discuss the addition of considerations for your speciality please contact the Verdi help desk on ext 7555.

Further information on using the Internal Specialists Referral form can be found here.

Enhancements from the December 2016 Verdi Upgrade

·         Babies on Board (Neonatal Critical Care System). Discharge summaries from the Babies on Board system are available via the ‘Correspondence / Discharge Summaries’ and the ‘Attendances / Bookings / Inpatient’ folders.

·         Results Acknowledgement (RA) Actions are now available across all clinical units when acknowledging results.

·         Inpatient and Outpatient waiting list data has been combined into the existing Inpatient waiting lists and is available via the ‘Attendances/Bookings / Waiting List’ folders.

·         Outpatient Clinic Outcome data from iPM has been added to the current ‘Outpatient Clinic’ appointment lists and is available under the ‘Attendances/Bookings’ folder.

·         Queensland Health Pathology (AUSLAB) results can now be sent to Mater electronically and will display within Verdi’s existing Pathology views.
