Biography

Dr Leanne Chapman is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who provides personalised care to women across all stages of life.  Her caring and sensitive approach puts patients at ease. 

Leanne provides obstetric services to both low and high risk pregnancies and supports vaginal births after a caesarean section (VBACs).  She has a special interest in optimising mental health in pregnancy, and has experience in caring for pregnant women with congenital heart disease.

Leanne manages all areas of general gynaecology, especially menstrual disorders and abnormal cervical screening tests (CSTs).  She is also interested in the management of menopause, and performs surgical procedures such as endometrial ablation, hysteroscopy, LLETZ and diagnostic laparoscopy.

Leanne studied Medicine at the University of Queensland and has worked for a number of years at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s as well as the Gold Coast, Hervey Bay and Logan Hospitals.  She holds a Senior Lecturer academic title at Griffith University School of Medicine.  Leanne is a mother to two beautiful young children.  This experience has given her a fresh perspective and appreciation of the journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
