Dr Craig’s undergraduate medical education was in the West of Scotland where he worked before moving to Australia. He completed his physician training based in New South Wales. He then travelled for a Masters in Neurology in London at University College before returning for his general neurology training.
Having trained in tertiary hospitals in the United Kingdom and Australia he has a broad exposure to a wide range of complex neurological disorders. He has the specialist FRACP in Neurology from the Royal Australasian College and passed the Specialty Certificate exam in neurology from the UK Royal Physicians College. Dr Craig has experience at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital dedicated neurosciences unit in Glasgow.
Dr Craig has undertaken epilepsy fellowship training from two institutions, in Australia at the Royal Prince Alfred in Sydney and a second fellowship at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle Upon Tyne. At Newcastle University he completed a postgraduate certificate in medical genetics and attended an EEG course based at Case Western University in Ohio. He worked as a consultant at the Central Coast and Hunter Valley before moving to Queensland.
