Dr Frater is a Fellow of Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, with an Advanced Certificate in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (the interface of psychiatry and medicine).
Her special interests are Neuropsychiatry (Behavioral and Mental Illness associated with brain and neurological disorders), Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Older Persons Mental Health, Perinatal Mental Health, Psychopharmacology, and General Adult psychiatry.
Dr Frater is currently undertaking a part-time PhD at Queensland Brain Institute (epidemiological and genetic biomarkers of cognitive decline) as well as completing the clinical Mater Certificate of Neuropsychiatry. She works closely with neurologists at Mater Centre for Neurosciences, and Families in Mind Perinatal Mental Health Service at Mater Mother’s Hospital.
