Mater Specialist Quick Find

SmartForm referrals 

GPs are now able to refer to the Mater public outpatient department and Mater Mothers' Hospital antenatal clinic electronically using HealthLink SmartForms.

Referring to Mater using HealthLink SmartForms is an extension of Mater’s referral resources and provides GPs with faster referrals and improved efficiency. HealthLink SmartForms will work seamlessly with GP electronic medical record software and as a cloud based solution will avoid the need for template updates and management. This provides a convenient solution that allows GPs to refer patients using one system only and without moving between software packages.
 

HealthLink SmartForms are an important step in Mater’s journey towards a more refined and intuitive electronic referral solution.

Frequently asked questions 

What practice software is required to use SmartForms to refer to Mater?

Best Practice 1.9.0 (indigo) and above, Medical Director 3.17 and above, Genie Solutions 8.8 and above. Your practice will also need to be enabled with HealthLink. 
 

Can I send attachments or photos?

Attachments and photos up to a total of 4Mb size can be attached to the referral.
 

What do I do if I’m having technical problems?

For any technical issues with launching or using the referral form please contact helpdesk@healthlink.net or call 1800 125 036 option 1. 
 

I have received my acknowledgement but I would like to know more about the status of my referral. How can I find out?

If you would like to check the status of a referral, whether your patient has an appointment, why a referral was returned, or to discuss referral criteria you can do so.
