Biography

Dr Raymond Goh is a fully qualified Australian trained Plastic Surgeon from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He is a certified member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

After graduating with honours from medical school at the University of Queensland, Dr Goh began his general surgery training at the PA Hospital in Brisbane. Drawn by the potential complexity, creativity, and challenges of Plastic Surgery, Dr Goh then embarked upon training in Plastic Surgery at all the major plastic surgical centres in both Queensland and Victoria. Dr Goh's training culminated in attainment of his plastic surgery specialist qualification and induction as a fellow into The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

After completing his specialist training in Australia, Dr Goh seeked to expand his knowledge and experience abroad. He devoted two years at the world-renown Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, studying and refining the art of cleft and cranio-maxillo-facial surgery. A further period was spent on a Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Canada, where he attained valuable experience in the fields of facial rejuvenation, breast enhancement, and body contouring. Dr Goh's extensive plastic surgery voyages overseas has enabled him to gain new perspectives and instilled a further dimension in understanding and appreciating the great perplexities that plastic surgery can present. Dr Goh is widely published in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals, and has written several chapters in plastic and cosmetic surgery textbooks. He has presented talks at scientific meetings around the world, and enjoys regularly attending national and international society meetings to stay informed of the latest development and advancements in plastic and cosmetic surgery.

Through his role as a specialist and clinical lecturer at the RCH and RBWH in Brisbane, Dr Goh is actively involved in the education and training of future plastic surgeons. He is an avid believer in utilising his skills to attend to those less fortunate, and has been participating in voluntary plastic surgery missions to developing nations with Interplast and Operation Smile. Outside of plastic surgery, Dr Goh is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle and enjoys mountain climbing, cycling, and photography.
