Biography

Mater Private Hospital Redland has welcomed a new Visiting Medical Officer in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Matthew Macbeth.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr Macbeth trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital London. He then undertook specialist training in Australia in Tasmania and Queensland, and finally trained in pelvic floor surgery at the QEII in Brisbane.

Dr Macbeth chose obstetrics and gynaecology because he found it a really positive and rewarding experience, particularly when sharing the joy of a new baby’s birth.
