About Dr Vujovic
Dr Petar Vujovic graduated from medical school at the University of Western Australia in 1990 and completed his general surgical training in Perth in 1998. He then became a fellow at Princess Alexandra Hospital before taking consultant surgeon posts in the United Kingdom at Nottingham City Hospital and Broomfield Hospital.
Dr Vujovic returned to Australia in 2002 and commenced private practice in Brisbane, specialising in breast and endocrine surgery. He held locum consultant positions at Mater Adult Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals before becoming a VMO at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Vujovic consults at Mater Private Breast Cancer Centre and his rooms at the Wesley Medical Centre. He also holds positions as a visiting surgeon at BreastScreen Queensland and is a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland.
His main interests are in breast disease and surgical conditions of the thyroid and parathyroids, in addition to managing general surgical problems.
