Dr Niemann completed his MMed in Haematopathology at the University of Pretoria in 1998, after which he joined Pretoria's 1st Military Hospital where he spent the next two years as consultant haematologist.
In 2000, Dr Niemann left the 1st Military Hospital to join a private pathology practice, where he continued to work and develop their investigative profile until December 2009.
Joining Mater Pathology in February 2010 as Director of Haematopathology, Dr Niemann is looking forward to integrating and utilising his skills and expertise in the field, and to use developing technology to assist clinicians in diagnosing conditions and determining prognoses.
