Biography

Dr Stone is a graduate of the University of Queensland. He commenced his obstetric training in the UK in 1984 working for two years at St Mary’s Hospital in Portsmouth. On returning to Australia he completed his training at Mater, Ipswich and Nambour Hospitals. On obtaining his specialist qualifications he worked as a staff specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Mothers' Hospital for fourteen years.

During this time Dr Stone had an integral role in training and mentoring many junior obstetricians and gynaecologists. He also took this opportunity to pursue his special interest in high risk obstetrics working in the Fetal Maternal Unit at the hospital for eight years.

More recently Dr Stone has been in London for the past two years working in central London teaching hospitals including Chelsea Westminster, Queen Charlotte’s, St Mary’s and Guy’s, and St Thomas’s.

Over the course of his career thus far Dr Stone has safely delivered over 5000 babies. After two years working at Arrivals Obstetrics Centre he is excited to be establishing his own solo private practice at Level 1, South Bank House, Cnr Little Stanley and Ernest Streets South Bank QLD 4101.
