Biography

Dr John Baker has practised as a neurosurgeon since 1982, training in both Brisbane and Scotland.

Drawing inspiration from being able to improve quality of life for his patients, Dr Baker worked in Central Queensland for 16 years where he also collaborated with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. In 2006 Dr Baker was awarded an Order of Australia for his service to medicine as a neurosurgeon, specifically through the provision of neurosurgical services in Central Queensland.

He currently consults from rooms at Greenslopes Private Hospital and lists his special interests as general neurosurgery and spinal surgery, pituitary tumours, cerebral tumours and medico-legal issues.
