Specialising in general surgery and surgical oncology, Dr Christopher Allan’s interest areas include melanoma, breast cancer and soft tissue sarcoma.
Dr Allan gained his primary medical qualifications through the University of Queensland in 1996 and completed his general surgical training in Queensland in 2006. He completed a Masters of Philosophy research year at the Mater Medical Research Institute in 2003 with a thesis entitled, "Preclinical studies of a Tumour Total RNA Loaded CMRF-56 Blood Dendritic Cell Vaccination for the Prevention of Breast Cancer Relapse".
Following his general surgical fellowship, Dr Allan completed two years of subspecialty fellowship training in surgical oncology—breast and endocrine in 2006 at Mater Adult Hospital and soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma in 2007 at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
Dr Allan currently runs a private practice through Mater Private Clinic, South Brisbane. His rooms are located on level four.
