After graduating from The University of Queensland, Dr Domenika Turkiewicz trained in general surgery at Mater Health Services before undertaking a fellowship in breast and endocrine surgery under and Dr Chris Elmes.
As a result of ongoing encouragement from her patients, Dr Turkiewicz specialised in breast disorders and cancer. She now lists submandibular and parotid gland tumours as her special interests.
She enjoys the challenge of practising surgical craft, utilising manual skills, dexterity and judgement. Dr Turkiewicz values the close interaction she has with her patients, particularly female breast cancer patients who are unique in their needs and expectations of their health carers.
She consults from Mater Private Breast Cancer Centre located at Mater Private Clinic and Greenslopes Specialist Centre.
